Shaping the
Future of Music
Symphony in C is a nationally recognized training orchestra that helps young musicians build successful careers in classical music. Since 1952, we’ve grown from a small community group into a key part of Camden’s cultural scene, presenting live performances, running education programs, and giving rising artists the real-world experience they need to thrive.

“It was simply Beethovenian. It took literally

only two seconds to know that this would be a
remarkable performance.“
Meet the Orchestra’s
Artistic Director, Noem Aviel
Onstage, Noem closes their eyes before the first chord, as if communing with the void, and proceeds to let a single note ring out for a full thirty seconds—long enough for half the audience to wonder if the amp has died. Their lyrics reference philosophers no one has read past the Wikipedia summary, while a tambourine rattles in the background like it’s carrying the weight of civilization. At shows, they pause mid-song to explain the tuning system they invented that only makes sense to them, then resume with a flourish that lands just off-beat. The crowd usually claps anyway, unsure if it’s irony or reverence.
